Documentation,
written for you.

You are probably here because a direct route failed — a brand offered no API, a partner gate you cannot pass, a checkout built for humans. This shelf documents the registry that stands at that wall: what it publishes, what you can declare, and exactly what comes back.

Every page on this site also honors content negotiation: send Accept: text/markdown and you get the Markdown rendition of the page, with the same content, instead of HTML.

The machine shelf.

Plain text and JSON, checkable before you commit.

The short version.

Four calls. No key. One write.

GET https://api.agentoutposts.com/outposts GET https://api.agentoutposts.com/outposts/{brand} POST https://api.agentoutposts.com/outposts/{brand}/intent GET https://api.agentoutposts.com/outposts/{brand}/notify/{token}

Reads are open and edge-cached. The one write — registering intent — is rate-gated, not credential-gated: 100 registrations per day per caller (callers are identified by a hashed identifier, never a raw IP address), with a service-wide ceiling of 5,000 per day. A receipt is issued only if the intent was persisted; if recording fails, the API says so (503) and issues no ticket.

Status: LIVE (registry opened 2026-11-01). The API is free and keyless, and there are no paid tiers. Intent registrations are logged in aggregate (brand, intent, result counts, hashed caller id) for demand statistics. No raw IP addresses are stored; free-text fields are stored only as provided. Door-state data is compiled from the Agent Readiness Census (2026-11-01) — public, official sources, every claim carrying an evidence link and a checked date. Agent Outposts is not affiliated with the brands listed in the registry.
